The Title kinda says it all. I've always been interested in medicine, I've wanted to be a doctor since as long as I can remember. But lately I've been thinking if its worth all the trouble. I've read about the difficulty of getting in, Mid-level creep and just a lot of other nonsense that makes me double think. I've worked as a dental assistant for the past year and a half, assisting an oral surgeon and I LOVE what he does. I think its so interesting and fun and I think I can actually do it.
So lately I've been thinking about it. It's been in the back of my mind to the point where i am thinking about applying to dental school. If i went to medical school, I would want to specialize in neurosurgery and IF i went to dental school I would want to go to OMS. And i could see myself doing both and being happy.
So my questions are
- hypothetically if i applied to NYU medical school and NYU dental school this upcoming, would they find out? Or do I have to just pick one of the schools and apply?
-can anyone detail the application process, I don't really know much and I don't want to go in blind
