Is it actually possible for me to have a chance. I have a feeling I really don't.
For starters, I am 32 and just started going back to school. I chose a pre-dental post-bacc. My college GPA was a 2.4.... I know incredibly low and in political science. Had some family issues and ended up with me having to put work before school.
Anyways right now:
Have a 4.0 and trying to keep it that way, with about 70 hours left in the program. I am in the Army, and was also an eagle scout. Still planning on doing more community service. I need to also start getting shadowing hours, but I just need some honest feedback on if this is actually possible before I get too deep into this. I am thinking I need to pivot to something else next semester or keep going and then get a masters to really have a chance to get into dental school. I feel like my first bachelors degree gpa is going to keep me from getting in.
Any feedback or advice would be greatly appreciated. Just feel kind of torn between the reality of the situation. At the beginning I didn't think it would be a big deal, but after seeing everyone on here with really good grades is kind of having me doubt this. Next week, I am going to try and talk to some schools admissions offices and talk to them as well to see if I honestly have a chance.
