Powerdirector365 not working anymore, playhead doesn't move.

Been using Powerdirector for the last 3 years and all of a sudden with my new pc it doesn't want to work. At first it was showing a black screen whenever I'd try to preview videos that I imported. Then when I placed them in the timeline and pressed play the playhead wouldn't move and when I tried skipping ahead it would instantly bring it back to the start and not move. I then attempted to use early versions of powerdirector and while the preview now shows, the playhead still acts the same. I don't know what to do.
