So recently I’ve been trying to rethink the way I’ve been training. I’ve been wanting to incorporate some more cardio, but working out six days a week sometimes just makes me lazy. I’ve been wondering if anyone ever really alternates splits weekly? Basically one week I would train 6 days with a Push/Pull split incorporating only some light cardio maybe 2 sessions of sprints that week. The following week I’d run a full body split 3 days that week and on my “rest days” I’d have my longer cardio sessions like a 30 minute run. I know for building mass cardio isn’t the most effective way to go and typically most tend to just focus on one thing at a time, but I need to be keep up with cardio for PT tests. I’d rather not have to restart cardiovascular training each time a test is near. Do you all think that I could still see results in both aspects, cardio/strength training, so long as I’m staying on top of my nutrition? So lemme know your opinions on this idea please! Thanks for reading.
