Post Body

Asking here cause I can’t stand the eliteism and constant downvoting I get over at pfc for asking simple questions

I’m a father to a very young family who is struggling to get us by in this day and age, have one kid who is 1 and a young wife who is struggling to find work. I am working and take home $4000 a month, our monthly expenses however is around $4000 a month too so we are unable to build a savings or have fun money.

Our debt and credit score is getting out of control. My credit is low 400’s wife’s is almost 600, we have around $15,000 in collections debts(various collections that add up not just one big one, biggest is only $2200) and non collections debt of around also $15,000. We have absolutely no money for paying off debts and it’s getting bad, my wife has been job searching for over 2 months done 4 interviews and hasn’t landed a job, I work 90 hours every two weeks and still have lack lustre take home(last year at a different job I was making $5300 take home a month, so a $1300 pay cut). We don’t have a lot to cut back on, we live off of whatever groceries is discounted at Walmart, we don’t eat out often, my wife drives an old car with 350,000 on it, I drive an old truck with 512,000km on it. We have a rental house but it’s actually insanely cheap for what it is so we are holding on to it, both have older phones, basically we don’t live lavish life styles with lots to get rid of.

I’m trying my best and don’t know what to do. My wife is very stressed and depressed and so am I and sometimes. I’m sure it’s just a bump but I’m feeling totally lost and defeated.
