Hey everyone,
I’m a 36-year-old trying to figure out how to get my life on track financially, and honestly, I could use some advice or perspective. Here’s my situation: • I’ve been working at Amazon, making $18.55/hour for 32 hours a week. I’ve been looking for a better job for 2 years, but nothing has worked out so far. • My car payment and insurance feel way too high, $850 all together per month and I’m still rebuilding my credit (currently 570) after some collections. • I live in a small studio, recently adopted two kittens (who I love dearly), and try to keep things as affordable as possible. • I’m also on multiple medications for mental health, which has been an ongoing challenge • I’m trying to save and invest. I have a small cryptocurrency portfolio (mainly Bitcoin and Litecoin) and hope it will grow enough to secure my future. My dream is to retire by 50 with $10M.
It feels like no matter how hard I try, I can’t get ahead. Between my job, bills, and trying to stay healthy mentally and physically, it’s overwhelming.
Has anyone been in a similar spot and turned things around? How did you do it? Any advice is welcome.
update Thank you for all the advice everyone. To the people down voting my post, why? I'm just looking for advice.
