My job (CNC machine operator) that Iāve been at for about a year (moved up from standard operator to night shift lead) was trying to justify why they canāt give much raises during a lead meeting today. Standard pay is 16/hr while our owner was trying to say if he factors in health benefits (which come out of our check) and 401k (over half the shop is not enrolled) that we really make about 21-22/hr which is above normal in this location and field of work. My review is coming up in June and I havenāt gotten a raise since switching off the temp agency and signing on the company at 90 days. Since then Iāve picked up several skills I didnāt have and made myself way more versatile than I used to be not to mention being the only employee that has never left or got fired from night shift. I also feel the price of living continues to rise month after month. U have a young child, and I just want to be able to comfortably take care of my family. What are some good points to bring up or argue before or during my review to ensure I get a fair raise. Ideally I want to make 23-24/hr.
The past year Iāve been here Iāve been to two end of year āpartiesā where the owner expressed each year that they had record breaking profits over all the other years they have been open. They have bought 4 new machines, a robot arm, and are in the process of building a seperate section of the shop to begin heat inducting processes

Out of a shop of 100 I am one of 3 besides the lead supervisor that can run all the machines I do. The other two have been here over 5 years. Iāve moved to my position because Iāve taken on and learned the things needed to make it here. On days one 5 year vet runs 4 machines and the other vet runs the other 4. On nights I run all 8 myself and usually average the same if only slightly lower production numbers
