Flaired as vent but I’m open to advice and criticism.
I posted some time ago about how shocked I was that my sister blew her rent money on frivolous things and how I felt proud of myself for never considering doing that.
She’s been blowing my phone up all afternoon asking me to buy her an $85 cricut machine for her birthday. Her birthday is in August. She was like you just got your tax refund you can afford it. I keep telling her I can’t. I owe my uncle money that he lent me so I could move into a safer apartment and I need to buy my daughter a new bed. That’s the entirety of my tax return. Pay my uncle back and buy my daughter a bed. It’s all been allocated and she won’t stop. She’s relentless and I’m getting so annoyed. And not that it matters, but she hasn’t bought me a birthday present in over 4 years. She also currently owes me $200.
I’m holding my ground. I’m not going to give her money and I’m not buying her a cricut. I have a plan for my tax return and I’m sticking to it.
