Affording meds with no medical insurance?

Post Body

My insurance company is hard to work with, and sometimes I have to pay for my medications out of pocket. “Holy Nazareth! My generic is now $183??”

Pharmacy coupon apps to the rescue. Single-Care is my go-to. You plug the dosage and pill/capsule count, and the apps will give mega discounts and show you which pharmacies around town offer the best price. I compare with both apps because sometimes one offers a better discount than the other. You’ll then show the selected coupon to your pharmacy tech, they plug it into the computer and magic happens.

I’ve had $135 medication knocked down to $30, even $15. It works for things like blood glucose test strips as well. I have no idea how the apps can cut costs so much, but who cares? It works and I don’t ask questions.
