Bankruptcy (Chp 13) vs Debt Settlement/Counseling

Post Body

I have 38k in credit card and personal loan debt and 32k in student loans with a car payment of 630 I pay towards my 32k car. I've already paid all the fees to start the bankruptcy but my issue is that since I make 135K, 65/hr I don't qualify for a chapter 7. I also have ESA animals which have a high cost but I have a doctors letter to show for them. Shouldn't I still qualify for chapter 7 even if I'm above the 70k means test? I live in Los angeles and the cost of living and expenses are quite high. I'm worried about the monthly payments towards a chapter 13 because they said the payments could range from 760 to 1500 per month....

I feel depressed that I'm going to have a depressing life for 5 to 7 years not being able to enjoy my 30s and worried about how each month for 5 years I'll owe all this money.

Should I consider debt settlement/counseling over bankruptcy?
