Hey all! I either have solid espresso drinks… or very subpar office work coffee 😅
BUT just got a 1zpresso J from a friend who I believe regifted to me because he had something similar. Good for me haha
I’m not looking for a perfect cup, so I was just wondering if I’m missing anything here to get started. Anyone check my work please?
Beans: Light/medium from Trade Coffee. Same gifter advised it as good quality and ability to try some new things. Is that a good company?
Grinder: I’m not 100% sure on the grind level. I think I’m supposed to turn is 2 full rotations from closed and then 2 more to get to the level 22? They don’t actually spell that out but it seems about right.
Vehicle for brewing: I got this double-walled Bodum pour over way back on Black Friday. Was collecting dust. It’s fairly cheap but is it good enough to get me going? I’m not a huge fan of French press and the metal filter reminds me of it… can I put a paper filter on top of it?! 😅
Scale: I have a food scale. I’d like to make a couple cups each time. Would 35g coffee to 600g water be okay?
I’m also overwhelmed by all the pouring “methods” like specific amounts at a time and… my lord this is a whole ass hobby I’m starting it feels 😂
I don’t really expect a response to all this but if you do, thank you. Can chat me or whatever too if that’s easier.
