I tried potty training last spring 2020 when I had a week off due to covid. I tried the potty training in 3 days book. It was traumatizing for all of us. Then when we saw the writing on the wall that it was not time yet, kiddo refused clothing for almost a week afterward and she hasn't slept through the night save a few nights here and there since. Yes, almost a year and a half later she barely sleeps through the night now.

Fast foreward to this summer and she is showing interest in training. I decided after spring 2020 I would wait for her to be ready and I'm not stressing about it. SO she starts going on the potty. It's baby lead potty training all the way over here. She has been pooping in her undies this whole time! So I started throwing them away and decided to switch back to pull ups.

Tonight it happened. She said, " Mommy, I'm pooping!" and kinda started to squat. So I said, "Let's go to the potty!" all happy for her. And she did and yall she tried her little potty that she recently decided to start using even though she was almost strictly big person potty like a week ago. She then decided to sit on the big potty. We very calmly talked about relaxing and just letting our poo slide out. and taking a deep breath and relaxing. She started to watch her poo song and said, "Mommy my tummy urts" and I said it's because she needs to poo. AND SHE POOPED! she didn't even realize she had pooped! It was a wonderful moment. We praised her and cheered. Sigh. WHat a relief. So proud of her.
