Trying to capitalize on my 3 day weekend from work, my husband and I took Friday off to try and potty train our son. He will be 2.5 in 3 weeks. He’s our second child.

We are doing the three day method which we did with our oldest. However, we are at the end of day 2 and I feel like he’s barely made any progress and daycare will definitely make him wear pull ups if he’s still having tons of accidents (he goes to an in-home and she doesn’t want him peeing all over her house which I understand).

When we did this with my oldest she was telling us she had to go and prompting herself by the end of day one.

He is still constantly peeing in his underwear - all day long. He will start going and just announce he is peeing. He has proactively gone potty maybe twice today? He did poop once on the potty today sort of proactively.

We have tried doing no bottoms at all but it upsets him SO much. He just cries and cries and begs to put underwear on.

I am exhausted. I feel so defeated. I hate feeling like I wasted a precious vacation day on this. I feel like we failed. I don’t even know if we should keep trying over the next 2 days. Because he has to wear pull ups at daycare I doubt he will make enough progress and will totally regress once he’s there.
