When is overexposure appropriate? What if it's intentional? (raw + sooc + post included)
Post Body

Here's the album with SOOC (straight out of camera) and my edits included.

I don't always over expose, but when I do it's intentional because I like the look. Many of my edits are typically 1/3 or 2/3 with minor desaturation, possibly color specific desaturation, and maybe bumping clarity or messing with colored shadows for that filtered look.

Sometimes I'll get comments like, "Over it's overexposed." When I follow up with "I know, but why is that bad?" I don't usually get a clear answer. I can pull down the highlights to get more detail, but often the extra detail doesn't add to the photo and I don't mind the blown out, flared look. What do you guys think?
