Post Body

I am graduating in May and had a tough luck with the postdoc job market (experimental physics) this year. Got only one offer in the US in the nick of time after I was pretty sure I have to transition out. Taking all that time to reflect helped take my mind out of the sunken-cost fallacy and be somewhat disillusioned by academia too. But now that I have this unexpected offer, I am having an existential crisis sort of. I am sure I am not the first grad student to go through this. So I am wondering - for those who went through a similar thought process and decided to either transition out or stay, how did you prioritize and come to a decision? I am really struggling to make up my mind.
