Newbie getting a little too impatient
Post Body

Hello! I have a few pen pals in other countries and am already familiar with r/RandomActsOfCards, but I hadn't heard of postcrossing until recently. Now that I have, I'm very happy to begin as I think it's an awesome concept. I'm obsessed, actually!

I have very excitingly, but carefuly, written and sent my first 5 postcards. USA, Germany, Russia, Belarus and Finland, that's where they are going, from France. But now that they went on their postal journey... I have nothing left to do but wait and it's killing me! I'm so looking forward to receiving my first card and having that rythm of sending/receiving flowing. Because I'm new and excited, it seems like it will be sooooo long for my cards to be registered and then for the one sent to me to arrive, ultimately for it all to get to a smooth rythm.

When you were newbies like me on your first batch of 5 postcards, how did you cope with this excitement and managed to stay patient? I know the whole point of postcards is to be patient because it's a slow communication, it's just that I'm a really passionate person and I'm basically dreaming of postcrossing now 😂

Greetings from Paris to all who took the time to read this!
