Have had 85k sitting in my bank drawing 0 interest for 2 years. Finally called Fidelity and plan on creating a Roth IRA and a Personal Planning account tomorrow. Any advice?
Post Body
Spoke briefly with an Advisor this afternoon and told him I wanted to do something with my cash sitting in my account. He briefly recommended opening a Roth IRA and a Personal Planning Growth Portfolio. Do you all have any tips or advice? This is all new to me, I just know I need to do something with this money. I owe 70k in student loans but a lot of people told me investing is smarter than paying it off entirely (my loan interest is 7%). Thanks in advance!
