Why do gay people like bad music?

As a straight man, I only listen to real music like Kanye or Tom MacDonald but it seems that gay people are obsessed with the worst music possible. It’s either unlistenable electro beeps and bloops like Shygirl and A.G Cook or boring sad women like Lana Del Rey and Mitski. Does the gay gene cause early-onset hearing loss or is a technique to attract other gay people, similar to the flamboyant plumage of a peacock? 🤔
