We recently upgraded the Pop!_Chat at https://chat.pop-os.org, and lost data in the process. This certainly hurt, but it let us re-think our use of the chat, and now all Pop!_OS development discussions are done in the channels there, many public and some private. The server was re-spun to take advantage of the latest and greatest in web architecture. It runs Mattermost, which is open source software, and it runs on System76 controlled servers. There is also a [desktop application available in the Pop!_Shop](appstream://com.mattermost.Desktop).

We would love to have more Pop!_OS users join the chat, to interact with the team here at System76 that develops Pop!_OS. We are increasing the amount of discussions we do in public on the Pop!_Chat, especially those dealing with the 21.04 Beta. Anyone can join, all you need is an email and a username!
