A number of Pop!_OS users have been experiencing problems with the new version 430.34 of the NVIDIA graphics drivers. If you are experiencing blank screens as described in this issue on GitHub, we are looking for feedback on the following potential fix:
In the file /lib/modprobe.d/nvidia-graphics-drivers.conf
, you will find this line:
options nvidia-drm modeset=1
Change it to:
options nvidia-drm modeset=0
Note that doing this may cause tearing on PRIME displays, such as the internal displays of NVIDIA Optimus laptops, when using NVIDIA graphics.
If you have other issues, please report them on GitHub. Including information about your OS version, CPU, motherboard, memory, GPU, and connected displays would be helpful.
