Pop_shop crashing (repeatable)

When I go into pop_shop I am able to install most applications no issue but for some reason when I try to install github-desktop pop_shop crashes every time I click on the application to install. I was able to get the following segfault but I am not sure how to solve this issue. I have tried the recommendations from this reddit post https://www.reddit.com/r/pop_os/comments/uddnp1/does_pop_shop_keep_crashing_for_anyone_else_i/ and the issue is still happening the exact same way. The odd part is pop_shop crashing only seems to happen when I try to install github-desktop.
