We are poor because my fiance has to pull money every week to buy delta 8 carts, while I'm busy saving every check for a house to rent
Post Body

I just did the math, Our combined monthly net is 3,412 and our combined annual net is 44,356. Yet we are struggling to make ends meet while I save my entire check. His checks without pulling money twice every week for delta carts, and random things would be 962 dollars, but his checks look more like 6-700 dollars sometimes even less than that. This paycheck we got yesterday was a full check with cut hours for the holidays on it being a little over 700$, mine was 595 and I had him give me 5 to make 600 for our savings for a house to rent. We are down to like 300 dollars left and he is going to spend 100 of it on a gaming system he doesn't need making us broke once again. And on top of that he has already pulled 100 for his next check.

I am tired of his poor spending habits leaving us in a tight spot. I am 7 months pregnant and we have no house- live with his parents- we have not bought a single baby thing and he's more worried about getting in the clouds and playing stupid games. We would be so much better off if he would suck up being poor for two weeks and not buy 4 g of carts every week and not spend his money on stupid old game consoles forcing us to be broke for a week and half, which then forces him to pull money. It's like having money drives him crazy and he has to get rid of it as soon as he gets it, and I'm trying my best to not spend a bunch on anything, including skimping out on lunch and stuff. I'm just at my wits end with it and its got me upset

Edit: I did the math sleep deprived and in full swing of sickness, and math wasn't my strong suit I accidentally doubled the amount of checks we get, Our combined annual net is actually, 44,356

So are you saying I should just allow him to spend money willy nilly on whatever the heck he likes, while I am the one trying to be responsible, trying to prepare for a child? He's suppose to enjoy life while I'm stressed about buying a bassinet and a house that isn't filled to the brim with other people.

Yes he is allowed to smoke and yes he's allowed to game but when it is not appropriate then no he shouldn't instead he should be buying bottles and clothing which should absolutely come before his high and his gaming

I did the math wrong but we still make 44k a year we should be able to afford things and we can't, a delta cart is some of the chemicals found in weed just not the THC that most people think of when they think weed, it still does the same effects though just not on as strong a level

A 1/2 gram would be gone in less then a day, a .5 gram cart for us is 40$ he would probably spend about 300$ on carts alone if he went that route

I try budgeting, I have done so many different types of budgeting, cash stuffing, writing out everything we need the amount it is how much we need to spend and where we need to spend it, what goes to paying bills and what goes towards savings, he never sticks to it, there's also one more thing not on the lit we should get

Southwest Missouri, Walmart Associate- which is one of the better offering places around here- I only work 30 but he works 37-40

It's just my check we are saving, I would love to add more to it but we do have other expenses that I make sure he pays for, rent and utilities to his parents, our phone bills and our storage unit, theres a few other small things here and there but that is the most of our expenses. Pretty much the only times he lived outside his parents house was when I pushed for it. He's been here about a year and half now while I've been here a little under a year. We do qualify for medicaid which helps so much because health insurance at our work is so expensive. I don't qualify for paid leave by 2 weeks and will have to go unpaid, so even when I get a house to rent I will still be saving the entirety of my checks to act as a buffer for when that time comes

i have no Idea what his timeline is, in my own opinion I feel he would not push for us to move out at all since I have been doing all the leg work to get us out of here

It was, I was told that my first pregnancy was likely to be my only pregnancy. I was told my doctors my uterus just couldn't support another pregnancy after my first, and followed by this I had a spontaneous miscarriage at 5 weeks

This is is normal pay rate around here, we actually make the top average pay rate around my area, most places pay like 11-13$ an hour and we both make 14$ an hour he just makes a little more because he works full time 40 hours and I only work 25-30 hours, cause I can't handle anymore than that

He has some sort of mental illness but he is in denial about it and won't see a therapist. I have begged and asked for him to get one because he has medicaid and it will cover it, I know because i have a therapist, he is open to couples counseling in theory, I haven't been able to find one that takes medicaid though so I have been having to push it aside for now

He does have a psychiatrist but he isn't open about everything and is only on a anti depressant but he doesn't take it regularly

He smokes from the time he gets up to the time he goes to bed and when he wakes up at night he hits it. He hits it like it's a regular nicotine vape

We are both 24

That's a really great idea, maybe him seeing what I am saying will make it more real for him

We have no streaming services, since we share a house with his family rn we share their services. I try not to eat out, we never go anywhere but work, we still have bills to pay, on top of sending money to his family to help them with their bill- which I hate doing- don't mind paying for rent and utilities but their other bills we help out with too etc

No, it's not and on top of that, he let his brother mooch off of him and he smokes half of the carts himself alone, if his brother wasn't smoking it he'd probably only have to buy carts once every other week, which would be so much easier on our pockets

The taxes and shit in our state are stupid high, we just legalized like a year or two ago, I'm not sure. But it's still "cheaper" to buy delta 8 over carts when you smoke as much as he and his brother do
