After removing with an acid wash or similar you can get chemicals usually labelled something like scale inhibitor/defence. Sometimes they work sometimes they don't because they're reliant on the overall balance being correct to stop the precipitation. You can try something like this:

But it's important to note that if your levels are in balance you shouldn't have scale so probably worth making sure your calcium levels are in check.
