About to start digging a big L shaped inground vinyl. do i need to worry about rain? at what stage is it "rain safe"?

I'm in norcal and theres no rain in the forecast but just to know how much to worry. Turns out royal pools didn't ship everything so i'm waiting on a few parts yet but my dig has to start now.

i leave for a long weekend in 10 days so...

1 how bad is a rainstorm in the unlikely case one shows up

2 at what stage of the build should i feel comfortable with a rainstorm happening?
