Post Body

Just got an above ground pool. 21' round 54" height. Have an AwuaPro 1.5hp DE 40 pump. The skimmer is a Hayward wide mouth. After setup, the skimmer simply isn't sucking in particles from pool surface. The pump is set to high. I can see small items float as close as possible to the skimmer and not get sucked in. I'm very frustrated. We have opened up the air valve on the top of the tank to get any air out. I've left it open for 30 seconds spraying water out to ensure no air. I've verified that there are no clogs in the hoses in or out. The basket in the skimmer is empty and the basket in the pump is empty. What else can I try?
