iAqualink and heater issue
Post Body

Hello friends -

I have a 15k gallon pool in SWFL and right now it's about 90-95 degrees outside. I am having an issue with my heater turning on the moment when my pool turns on, even when the pool is warmer than the set temperature.

I have a VSPump and currently have it set to run at low speed from 6am - 11am, high speed from 11am - 3pm, Pool heater to run if needed from 11am - 3pm, and then drop back down to low speed from 3pm - 10pm.

When the system turns on in the morning the heater immediately turns on with it and has been running all day. It is only allowed to run for the pool from 11am - 3pm. I can turn it on for the spa whenever I want. I've been away on vacation the past few weeks and came home to my pool being at 105 degrees a few days ago. So i started to investigate with my Ring Cameras what is going on and discovered this is why.

I tried to fix it by turning everything off, disabling the heat on both the pool and spa, but every time the system turns back on the heater will kick on, even when it's not needed for the pool and when the pool heat is disengaged. The only solution i've found that will push it back into it's normal operation is to go into the temperature settings and set the heat for the pool higher than what it is and then turn the temperature back down, and then it will shut off and remain off until the next morning when it starts doing the same thing again.

This is destroying my energy bill and I've called two pool companies and they cannot figure out what is going on with it.
