I'm not a total beginner although I have no experience setting up freshwater tanks/ponds.
I started my fish first tank as a complete beginner about 6 months ago, it was a saltwater tank because I like a challenge. Everyone warned me against it but 6 months on my tank is doing excellent and I really enjoy the maintenance involved, keeping my fish and corals happy. :)
I have always fancied having a pond but currently I live in a 1st floor flat with only a flat roof garden. The other night I had an idea, I bought a 6ft rowing boat this summer that I never did anything with and I thought that would make a great little quirky pond on my roof.
I really would like to pursue this idea but would just like to make sure I'm doing everything properly. From what I gather all I'm going to need is a pond filter/pump, an air pump and possibly a heater in the winter due to the shallow depth of the boat.
Just looking for any beginners advice that I should know before I start?
