Okay I made a big goof up.. I knew this was a thing and there for I screwed up.. I started a new pond.. and with the temp in the 80s I got an algae bloom.. I have several plants in the pond.. I have Lilly’s and other plants an aerator and a fountain. It’s 530 gallon I did a biological filter and added bio balls it ran for two weeks then I added a few gold fish from the local bait shop and they died one every few days and I talked to my buddy who has salt water tanks. He said he thinks my pond doesn’t have any good bacteria to eat the bad bacteria. It has to regulate itself? How long does this take? He mentioned getting water from a well established pond so I got 15 gallon and added to it hopefully it contains good bacteria!? Any info? I also did a water test and it was bad.. I feel so dumb but you live and you learn right?
