Hi all, my girlfriend is on vacation currently, leaving me alone at my house. To me, this means that since I'm not obligated to interact with anyone for the time being, that I can sleep whenever I feel tired. I'm currently on a five day weekend so I'm free to experiment. Like I said, I started sleeping whenever I feel tired enough to go to bed. This resulted in me sleeping for only 4 hours at a time, and then being awake for 8 hours before retiring back to bed for another 4 hours. These past 5 days have really blended together and I kept thinking that it was Monday when it was only Saturday. Sleeping this way has made me feel really energetic and I've gotten more work on my house done than I have in the past 4 months combined.
Right now, my schedule is:
7am-wake up
3pm-sleep
7pm-wake up
3am-sleep
Now, I naturally shifted into this sleep cycle. I didn't do it on purpose, and after looking it up to see if this is a recognized sleep cycle, I found this subreddit.
What are your thoughts on this sleep cycle? The only info i've found so far has been a wikipedia entry telling me I might be mentally handicapped, or have dementia and I'm not at-risk.
Could you give me any more information regarding sleeping this way? Generally there are infographic charts that include nice blurbs about each sleep cycle but I haven't found one for this specific way of sleeping.
