Hi fellow poly peeps. I (29GF) have been poly for ~7 years. Over that time I've never been what you would consider a primary/anchor/nesting partner to anyone, but as I've gotten older and tried out various poly dynamics I realized that's something I really want. I also want to have kids, and I do want to have at least one biological child on my own.
Currently I'm dating two amazing people - a long-distance partner (29NB) of 1.5 years, and I've started dating a local person (32M) about 3 months ago.
My long-distance partner and I have different life goals so cohabitating isn't in our future, though we care about each other so much, and my local person has a partner of 4 years he's moving in with. Also, neither of them want kids.
I'm honestly really scared and anxious by how I feel like my chance to have a family is slipping out of my hands - this was reinforced recently by seeing other members of my polycule interacting with the kiddos in the 'cule. Being able to raise kids that way just looks so beautiful, and the kids are great.
Would other folks be comfortable sharing their happy stories of building your families in your 30s and beyond? Thanks!
