Newly diagnosed and a question about WBC testHi,
Post Body

Hi! Was diagnosed about a month ago. I'm 58, female, with reumatoid arthritis but otherwise pretty healthy. My doctors and I have noticed that my RBC and iron counts have been slowly creeping up over the last 2-3 years, so they finally sent me to a hemotologist/oncologist to investigate further. The Hemo/Onc verified that I don't have the JAK mutation and only wants me to manage with with regular phlebotomy for now, so I'm not worried. They sent me some info from the Voices of MPN website and I just downloaded the app so I can track my symptoms.

In the app, I started recording the last couple of blood test results and noticed that in the app, the WBC Leukocytes is measured as "X" x 109/L. But my blood tests measured it as "X" x 103/uL. I don't understand the last parts of those, the 10whatever/unit of measure part. Are these equivalent or do I need to multiply the value by something to get the value the app wants?
