So I met someone a few weeks ago at an event and I’m crushing quite hard.

We’ve been messaging every day since that event, went on a date a couple weeks ago, and have been brainstorming future date ideas. We’re on the same page that we’re not looking for anything specific and are just going to see how things go.

I have a tendency to fall hard once I connect with someone. The intensity of the emotions can be really overwhelming sometimes to be honest, and nowadays I’m more careful about managing them so that I don’t come across as ‘too full-on’.

I’m feeling more cautious with this situation as she is the first poly person I have dated. Are there any positives of giving her a heads up now? Or would it be better to wait for a while? She’s currently out of the country so it might be a conversation to have when she gets back in a couple weeks I suppose.
