Background - I met this person a few months ago and we saw each other a few times over the course of 2 months. They don’t live in the same city as me right now but they visit every few months, I have been told. Before they left I was quite nervous to ask if they’d want to keep in touch and be in each other’s lives and a received a positive response! This happened a month ago. We never really talked about any boundaries or limits or made agreements. We have been texting quite regularly and the conversation, for the most part, hasn’t felt one sided or anything.

Question - They never initiate the conversation, I’m always the first one to text. Is that sort of a sign of disinterest that I’m unable to read? Is this just a silly question and I’m overthinking?
