Hello, need some advice if you have any to give. I am married and also have a secondary partner. We also hang out with my partner's best friend, and we have been extremely flirty towards each other and there is obvious sexual tension.

My question is: is it totally messy to get involved with the best friend? I'm not necessarily interested in dating him, just potentially having a sexual relationship. I haven't talked to my partner about it yet, but I'm just worried that if things turn south, it'll be awkward for my partner when we all hang out again.

Does anyone have any experience with this? How did you navigate hanging out with everyone if/when things ended?
