Hopefully this is ok, if not delete. Anyway, is it just me or do some of the guys who answer my ad don't even know what polyamory is most of the time, and are just casting a wide net across a lot of dating subs? It's like...
Them: hey Me: hi Them: I saw your ad and [insert first name, stats, etc and nothing mentioning whether they have a partner or not, how long they have been poly] so what are you looking for? Me:....a poly relationship? Them: What's that? Me: 🤦🏿♀️
I remain open minded to the fact that maybe some people are new to it, but even so they admit that they're new to it and would like to try because they and their partner decided to open things up!
They just slide into your DM looking for something, not even polyamory but something. I'm not hunting for casual, I'd like to find someone for a meaningful long term connection, and not a dude just "passing through" trying to get his body count up, because they conflate poly with swinging, gangbangs, MFFF relationships, or their exasperated wife/partner told them to "do whatever, just don't tell me about it" or they mistake cheating for non monogamy. It is a form of, it's just unethical because no one knows.
Whatever it might be, I swore this sub was for polyamorous RELATIONSHIPS, not hookups. Not slamming hookups or whatever, but there's other subs for that. Please go to them and stop bothering me for what you assume will be an easy score. Thank you for coming to my TEDtalk.
