I've considered myself poly for almost a decade now. I married about a year and a half ago and hadn't had any additional relationships for over three years. I was content to be poly in philosophy only and not in practice, mostly because dating apps are terrible and the local poly/kink community is almost worse. Then I met someone in real life and there was insane mutual chemistry. It was a welcome change to interact in the real world and not through some app messaging platform. But there was some light drama and red flags that all culminated with a breakup through text because the guy who heavily pursued me decided that he felt guilty about my married status once I made myself available to him. I'm disappointed. I feel a bit foolish and embarrassed by the whole thing. I'm not sure what I want my relationship with poly philosophy to be moving forward from this. So like I said, I think that I'd just really appreciate some conversations and fresh perspectives.
