Trying to come to terms with returning to work for 2024 š„²
Iām Carter. Earlier last year, I moved from NYC back to Australia (where I grew up). Weāre in the height of our summer now and itās unbearably hot.
When Iām not singing along (terribly) and dancing (embarrassingly) to music on my headphones, youāll find me on a run, working out, playing tennis, working or watching The Office reruns. In a constant mental battle between van-life, running away to a cabin in rural Europe or working hard to climb the corporate ladder.
Looking for someone to chat with (open to voice and video but letās just start with good old text chats). A conversation packed with sarcasm and a sprinkle of existential dread. Again, I donāt mind where you are in the world - different culture and people are always interesting!
Letās share memes, music and photos of our days. Make silly puns, ventā¦ whatever really. The song Iām vibing out to today is So Hot Youāre Hurting My Feelings by Caroline Polachek.
As for what this looks like long term? Iām not sure. Ideally youāll stick around, weāll get along great and distract each other from the monotony of our day to day lives and get each other through 2024 and beyond.
I find it easiest to get to know someone through people who already know them. Hereās some testimonials:
āWouldnāt know a hard days work if it hit him in the face but boy can he fix a computer.ā - Pop
āTell your internet friends youāre a sweet and handsome young man.ā - Grandma
āHeās the best. He plays games with me.ā - Nephew (5)
Oh and hereās a photo of me to put a face to the name.
If youāve read this far, send a message or chat and letās talk! Take care and stay safe.
