Currently mono but wondering if I should get into solo poly?
Post Body

Hi everyone I've been in this sub for awhile now and I've been dating my poly gf for about 2 years now. I've been monogamous by choice over these 2 years because of these reasons.

1) I think my gf is awesome and loving 2) I'm not needy and I enjoy the fact that she is usually abroad for 3/4 of the year so I have time to focus on my career and gazillion hobbies 3) I'm someone who really likes my alone time

However I'm wondering if I should start looking for another romantic partner because sometimes I do feel like I need a lover who lives in the same country as me. As much as I'm pretty much highly independent I would love to have someone to be intimate with. It's just that I have a few apprehensions to start...due to these reasons

1) The dating pool for ENM lesbians is practically non existent or terrible where I'm at.

2) I'm worried if I do actually meet someone I like they might not be open to polyamory and I might be forced to make a choice of choosing to be with my gf or go back to monogamy.

3) I'm worried if I do meet someone else NRE is gonna take over my brain and I'll neglect my gf and it would be a detriment to our relationship.

4) Having another gf also means I have to spend more on gifts and vacations.

Fyi my poly gf has often encouraged me to find someone else closer to me.

Am I overthinking it??? I feel super apprehensive. 2 lovers means twice the fun but also twice the work. Help? Please thank you!
