Being the one who lives alone

Post Body

I’m having a hard day, and really a hard week. I’ve already been struggling with my own mental health, stress with a move coming up, finances, etc. and today I’m just reminded inadvertently and not maliciously by a partner that I’m the one who lives alone. I have three partners and a situationship, all of whom live with at least a nesting partner or more. I live by myself. Previous to this year I’d lived with a now ex husband. I also work from home. Combating loneliness is a real struggle for me. I do a lot to keep busy, work, write books (I’m an author on the side), volunteer, craft, etc. but today I was reminded that none of them really realize just how lonely I am or can relate to it. They can come spend the night for a night here or there sometimes and go back home to where they have another partner, meanwhile they leave and I’m just alone. Then when things come up like my move they forget that I’m alone in everything, I’m the only support to my household and the strain that puts on me. Like they might know but it feels like they don’t understand at the same time. I don’t really want anything out of this post other to vent my feelings and maybe know I’m not the only one that deals with this.
