Rant warning. I've been out dating for about 6 months and I'm already exhausted. I had several good matches and things natural progressed to more friends because out desires weren't matching. They wanted FWB or didn't like that my nesting partner had some say, which I totally understand. How long before you found someone that you really clicked with? I feel like I put a lot of energy out and get very little back. I also compare my very first match with all my other interactions and it's frustrating that I can't find similar energy. I don't expect daily am/pm texts but I'm tired of asking if they want to go out or do something.
For example, one guy wants to only meet up after hours in hotel rooms because he's not out as poly. We have great chats but I feel lesser hanging out with him.
Another guy is great to be around but I'm always the one to suggest doing something. It's been weeks since he's asked to do something - he is probably too busy to be dating right now.
