I (25f) have been dating my long term gf (20f) for about 9 months now. I absolutely love her to death. She makes every day brighter. We are in an ldr and she has an in-person partner as well. I've expressed that I would love to meet her other partner, as it would help me feel more comfortable in our relationship, but my gf says that her boyfriend and most of her friends are anxious and shy and not ready to meet me.

For me, it would help me feel more connected to her life to get to know her boyfriend, who sounds awesome and like someone I would get along with.

As someone who isn't very experienced with poly I'm not sure what's normal, is it weird that she hasn't introduced us? Maybe he doesn't want to meet me and she's trying to protect me from knowing that?

What would be some good ways to have a conversation about this?
