Okay so, the situation is this: I am in a serious, long-term relationship, and a while ago we decided we wanted to try polyamory. We've been on dates with other people but nothing serious thus far. There's a person that I have a pretty huge crush on, and have for over a year now. my partner (all 3 of us are mid 20s nonbinary folks) is aware of the crush and has no problem w me pursuing it. The hitch is that this person lives a few states (about a 6-7 hr drive) away. I was talking to one of my best friends and she was saying that she would caution against long distance, especially without a known point where the distance would be over. I don't know what to do because this crush is very much not going away. I guess what im asking is 1) should i ask this person out. And 2) if so, how can i do it in a non awkward way?
