Partner setting a boundary that I'm not allowed to date someone -advice please
Post Body

Good afternoon,

I have a bit of a question in regards to my particular situation, I have two partners and we are all dating (throuple). I'm new to the throuple and the others have dated for three years. One partner is slightly more into exploring and has a fair few crushes on other people and talks about wanting to date others fairly frequently. We are allowed to date other people outside of the throuple as long as we communicate to the others about it. I asked when we first started dating if there was anyone that I definitely wouldn't be able to date, originally no one came up.

I met one of their friends yesterday and really hit things off, we are very flirty with eachother, are very similar in different ways, possibly both looking for similar things. This individual my partner likes or liked but the other person didn't want to date my partner.

Now I'm not sure if the other person likes me back, but we've expressed interest slightly with one another but obviously haven't explored it. I think now that the other person is possibly showing interest in me my partner came and expressed a boundary of theirs is that I can't date the other person. It confused me a little as If it was anyone else I wouldn't care and would easily agree to the boundary.

What advice do people have about this?
