I am married and was with my girlfriend Jane for a year and a half.

During that time jane had a life threatening event and end up having a herpes flair due to the stress. She was apparently asymptomatic or something up until then. Due to her having health issues I've been to many doctors appointments So i know she wasn't lying.

Now I have it also, although so far it seems I'm asymptomatic as well for Ive shown no symptoms so far. My wife is getting tested soon.

She broke up with me due to us learning we want different kinds of poly relationships. (I wanted kitchen table, she wanted parallel) And and other things of course

But after everything, I'm left with herpes and a broken heart. My wife has been and was EXTREMELY supportive and understanding throughout this entire ordeal.

I'm infuriated with myself! We used protection and was responsible as one could be!

Has anyone been through something like this?

I'm not sure how to go foward.
