Hi everyone, I’m not exactly new to poly, as I’ve been in my relationship for 7 years. What’s maybe more unusual is that I don’t have a second partner. My boyfriend is married with two kids. This relationship worked for me because I enjoy my own time and space, and this relationship allowed for that. I was always open to having a second partner, I just kept putting it off because I didn’t feel the need yet. I still don’t right now, as I’ve had a very challenging time with my mental health. But I’ve been thinking about it happening maybe within the next few years. It just seems like such a challenging task, even though I want it to happen. I don’t know if I want a nesting partner or not. I more so want to explore with someone and see where that leads. I’m just wondering if other people have a similar experience to mine, where they only had one partner for a while until they decided to look for a second. I just hope that it can happen for me and work out.
