Would you consider it offensive to go as Jesus for Halloween?

My little sister wants to dress up as Jesus for Halloween. My parents think it's a bad idea because it's offensive. She doesn't want to do it mockingly, she just wants to have fun. Fake beard, robe thingy, the stereotypical Jesus look. Would you consider this offensive?
She goes to a Catholic school, they let the students dress up for Halloween and celebrate it with games and stuff. Not sure if that makes a difference.
