Can Reddit succinctly explain how Ron Paul is part of the Republican party with such radical policies as getting rid of income tax (the IRS) and getting rid of the Federal Reserve ?
Has he explained how he thinks this will all work? I know he wants to bring home US troops and cut federal spending but surely you still need some income tax and not just excise tax (hidden sales tax) - retailers can't be happy? No Federal Reserve but no plan to go back to the Gold standard as well? Withdrawal from NATO would mean it would cease to exist - buy he also wants the US to give up membership of the UN ?
I'm in the UK and just saw his campaign video. He doesn't get much coverage on mainstream media over here which is a surprise considering his views. He's made some excellent points in the past but seems to be somewhat radical though very honest and genuine.
