Can someone tell my why my argument for supporting Ron Paul despite some of his more radical ideas isn't valid?
Post Body

If Ron Paul is elected president, he will have power over the executive branch. This will allow him to pursue his sought after changes in military and drug war issues. These are his views that most people like.

On the other hand, the "crazy" policies that most people have issues with such as the fed and the gold standard he will have no power over since he isn't congress. Congress doesn't even have to "block" him, a majority just have neglect to push these agendas, which they will most certainly do.

How is this justification flawed?
