So the proposals are Nation state (Ellis) 8/10 - well written paper and topic, kinda like arms sales but not really, pretty balanced, just not super exciting (I think this will be the topic)

Generic engineering (Oddo): 6/10, probably a good topic just no excitement and some of the resolutions are really bad

Gun safety/reform/control (LeSiur): 7/10, there’s no DA ground and lots of aff ground, as well could change under Biden like cjr did, but good to debate about, could be cringe if it’s about expanding 2nd amendment rights.

India/Pakistan (Oddo): 9/10 this topic is AMAZING! Kind of like the China topic but lots better, there’s a ton of ground, and most of the resolutions are pretty good. This is the topic I am wishing and voting for

Pressure/Contain Russia (Adams): 8/10 not a terrible topic, security would be a generic, good Ir Ks and also the actor could be nato which boosted up this score by like 5 points (fuck the usfg, me and all my homies hate the usfg), pretty good topic in my opinion, maybe a little too similar to arms sales thou (although Ukraine/Baltics wasn’t that popular)

SCOTUS (Normington): 4/10 interesting, either just like CJR or the opposite, I worry that we find out that court based DAs are actually bad just not that other DAs are better, and there’s no good DA/Cp ground. Weird topic as well cause the cases/rulings can’t be a Congress thing cause of Congress Cp, I just don’t like the vibe of this one.

Trade (Rimmey): rimmy got the arms sales topic, seems almost too similar, thou no real info cause there’s no paper.

Water (McComas, Crevoiserat, and Brinker-lev): 1/10, changing water standards for a year? Really? The best part of this topic is 3 words: Blub Blub bitch
