Hi! Maybe a stupid question but thought I’d see if anyone has insight. I keep seeing posts by people saying their shoulders are getting bigger than they’d like and I’m worried that will happen to me, but I feel like it can’t because I barely eat protein? (That’s its own issue I’m working on lmao). Any advice would be helpful. I see others saying to add lower body workouts but I don’t have the money or desire to do that.
Thank you so much for your insightful comment! I have so much to learn. I appreciate the starting point!
Thank you for your positive comment! I have been in eating disorder/body dysmorphia recovery for like 6 years now and I’ve battled a lot of my issues, hoping I can continue focusing on the positives! 💕
Thank you!!! I didn’t explain too well in my post- I’m not intentionally not eating enough protein, I’m just a vegetarian who hasn’t paid much attention. I was planning to increase protein intake once I realized how low it was, then I got worried I’d get bulky (which I’m feeling kinda stupid about now 😂). This is so helpful!!
I’m an exercise-resistant person to my core. I generally hate exercise but found pole and love it and hope to continue for a long time, but I also have body dysmorphia so anxious about potential body changes. I am not motivated enough to try other forms of exercise because it’s just the worst to me, and frankly I work a lot and would rather spend my precious free time doing things I enjoy. Thank you for your advice!! I will focus on increasing protein.
Thank you so so much for this detailed response! It sounds like I should continue maintenance calories so I don’t unintentionally bulk up. I’m trying to add more protein for a more balanced diet but was afraid of adding it now that I’m exercising for fear of too much muscle. I’m so uneducated about this stuff, thanks again!
